Underlying burst water pipes had caused over time mass water saturation of a residential block in a heavily populated suburb in Southern Sydney.

The water issues caused a crib wall connected to the residence on the property to gradually fail and begin to slowly move towards the home.

In time the actual house structure had also become unstable as a result of the movement.

GSS worked closely with the designers and structural engineers to develop a plan which would ensure the integrity of the house during works to repair the crib wall and alleviate the ground water problems.

Crib wall remediation works were carried out around and inside the existing house structure using piles, micro piles and difficult access drilling techniques to enable the installation of cable anchors.

The final stage of the project was the construction of a 250mm concrete finished wall.
